Cyclone the storm is projected to strengthen into a rare category five storm as it veers in the direction of Jamaica, causing dangerous flash flooding and mudslides.

This weather system, which recorded winds of up to 120 miles per hour as of 0600 Greenwich Mean Time, is currently turning toward the northwest in the Caribbean and is anticipated to make landfall by Tuesday, according to weather experts.

Warnings of electricity outages and structural damage have been announced as the hurricane brings up to 76cm of rain and storm surges as high as thirteen feet above typical tides. "Find safe refuge immediately," residents have been advised.

The cyclone is the thirteenth cyclone in this year's Atlantic storm period, which usually concludes in late autumn.
