Skydance Paramount Will Cut Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – Update
Skydance Paramount plans to initiate large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, cutting nearly 2,000 American roles as part of a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn under top executive David Ellison.
The layoffs are a result of the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August with a value of $8.4bn.
Additional international job cuts are expected, with the company planning to reveal full details in its Q3 financial results on 10 November.
Prior news suggested the company aimed to cut from 2,000 to 3,000 jobs by early November.
By December 2024, the company retained about 18,600 permanent and temporary staff plus 3,500 temporary project employees.
The organization has not provided a response on the matter.
